Argentina 3–1 Switzerland (a.e.t.) — A tense, controversial quarter-final swung when Breel Embolo was shown a second yellow for simulation in the 72nd minute. Alexis Mac Allister put the champions ahead before Julián Álvarez broke Swiss resistance in the 112th minute with an unstoppable 25-yard rocket into the top corner, and Lautaro Martínez added the third to seal a semi-final against England.
England 2–1 Norway (a.e.t.) — In brutal Miami heat, Andreas Schjelderup gave Norway a 36th-minute lead off Pickford's post. Jude Bellingham answered with a brilliant left-footed equaliser, then pounced on a rebound from Morgan Rogers' drive early in extra time to complete his brace. Erling Haaland was kept almost anonymous — just 21 touches all night.
Spain 2–1 Belgium — Fabián Ruiz opened the scoring in the 30th minute, Charles De Ketelaere levelled for Belgium before half-time, and super-sub Mikel Merino did what he does best: an 88th-minute winner from a rebound to send La Roja into the last four.
France 2–0 Morocco — Kylian Mbappé scored one and set up Ousmane Dembélé for the other as Les Bleus ended Morocco's run in Foxborough, a rematch of the 2022 semi-final with the same outcome.
Switzerland 0–0 Colombia (4–3 pens) — The last round-of-16 tie to finish. After a goalless 120 minutes in Vancouver, Gregor Kobel's crucial save and Ruben Vargas' winning kick sent the Swiss through to their date with Argentina.
