Norway 2–1 Brazil. The shock of the tournament. Erling Haaland rose above Gabriel to head Norway in front in the 79th minute, then arrowed an unstoppable second in the 90th — his sixth and seventh goals of the tournament. Neymar's stoppage-time penalty was mere consolation as the five-time champions crashed out and Norway reached their first-ever quarter-final.

France 1–0 Paraguay and Morocco 3–0 Canada rounded out the weekend: Les Bleus ground out a professional win, while Morocco ended the co-hosts' dream run in emphatic style. The reward? A heavyweight France– Morocco quarter-final, a rematch of the 2022 semi.
