The Last 5 Matches

Date Match Score Venue
Jul 14 France France vs Spain Spain 0–2 Dallas Stadium
Jul 11 Argentina Argentina vs Switzerland Switzerland 3–1 (AET) Kansas City Stadium
Jul 11 Norway Norway vs England England 1–2 (AET) Miami Stadium
Jul 10 Spain Spain vs Belgium Belgium 2–1 Los Angeles Stadium
Jul 9 France France vs Morocco Morocco 2–0 Boston Stadium

Spain Spain 2–0 France France (semi-final). A masterclass in Dallas. Lucas Digne felled Lamine Yamal in the box and Mikel Oyarzabal calmly dispatched the penalty in the 22nd minute. Pedro Porro doubled the lead in the 58th, playing a give-and-go with Dani Olmo before side-footing past Mike Maignan. Spain suffocated Les Bleus for 90 minutes and reach their first World Cup final since 2010.

Argentina Argentina 3–1 Switzerland Switzerland (quarter-final). Alexis Mac Allister put the champions ahead after ten minutes, but Dan Ndoye's 67th-minute equaliser forced extra time at a packed Arrowhead. Julián Álvarez broke the deadlock with a right-footed rocket in the 112th minute and Lautaro Martínez sealed it at the death as Lionel Messi's side marched on.

England England 2–1 Norway Norway (quarter-final). A Miami nailbiter. Andreas Schjelderup's cross-shot gave Norway a 36th-minute lead before Jude Bellingham equalised in first-half stoppage time. Three minutes into extra time, Bellingham reacted quickest when Ørjan Nyland spilled Morgan Rogers' shot, poking home the winner to send the Three Lions into the last four.

Spain Spain 2–1 Belgium Belgium (quarter-final). Fabián Ruiz opened the scoring on the half hour in Los Angeles; Charles De Ketelaere levelled for Belgium in the 41st. With a shootout looming, Mikel Merino — the man who broke Portugal's hearts in the round of 16 — struck again in the 88th minute to break Belgian ones too.

France France 2–0 Morocco Morocco (quarter-final). In the 2022 semi-final rematch in Foxborough, Kylian Mbappé saw a first-half penalty saved by Yassine Bounou — then made amends with a superb curler into the far corner on the hour and teed up Ousmane Dembélé six minutes later. France dominated (3.04 xG to 0.14) to end Morocco's run.
